Breakfast at C G Cafe in East Leake

Enjoyed a decent fry up @the_cgcafe in East Leake today. For just £7.95 I treated myself to one of their Regular Breakfasts comprising of Sausage, Bacon, Fried Egg, Black Pudding, Hash Brown, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Beans, and Toast

Verdict was that it was an Excellent Sausage, which let’s be honest is the item that can make or break the whole breakfast situation. This one was crispy, slightly split but definitely fried properly and decent quality too.

The Bacon slice was good, the fried egg a little ragged but the yolk was glorious and runny which is the main thing

It was Great to get a slice of black pudding and a hash brown at this price point and both were quality efforts which was most pleasing as both breakfast items offer flatter to deceive

The Beans and Tomatoes melded well and encroached on the egg just enough to nudge the nerves of the breakfast gods. I laughed in their face as I mopped them up with all their juices using my slices of toast 🤣

Other breakfast plate options on the menu were the Large for £9.95 and the Extra Large for £12.95 (featuring 3 sausages!)

I had plenty enough on my plate and was most happy with my lot

Special mention for providing a dish with my mug of tea for putting the tea bag on. Not many places pay that level of attention to service and it made me smile with contentment

Definitely coming back here again, excellent quality and a chilled out village vibe also fighting the good fight with Birds sitting next door 🧐

📍located at 6 Gotham Road, East Leake, LE12 6JW (ignore the Leicestershire postcode this place still in Nottinghamshire)

Ample parking just over the road and number 1 bus stop is just outside
