This is really just a short note to tell you about some very good Scotch Eggs that I picked up at the West Bridgford Farmer’s Market. These are from “Holly’s Peak Produce” who “specialise in Homemade, Free Range, Flavoured Scotch Eggs” According to their website they currently attend three Farmer’s Markets per month, visiting the West Bridgford market on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month
I bought three to sample, a basic traditional scotch egg, a garlic sausage scotch egg, and a scotch egg with a sweet red onion relish. All three were delicious, well flavoured, subtle and not overpowering. I really liked the sweet red onion relish one. The meat is very solid and the eggs that they use had a very nice creamy yolk.
I will be looking out for these at future markets. In addition to checking them out on their website, you can follow them on twitter
